We all have those blank moments during our day. Those moments when we don’t feel like even moving just a tiny little bit from our chair, unless it is for a better position to waste our time. Those moments when we surf on the web doing nothing, watching maybe even things for which we have no interest or in the worst case ending up in a chat room (screams horror).

No offense to chatters, I do chat often too, but I believe that chatting is really a huge time waster, unless it is not a chat about work and similar. How ever, how do you turn that “boring” moments into bucks you might be wondering? Yeah exactly that famous say Time is money.

Today I had again that blank moment, I have it every day actually and recently more often then what I should permit to myself. However later on the day I did read a friends blog and he had a post about something called Bux.To. Nice name no? Bux.to…do what? Well I had heard about them earlier, but never saw the picture in the way I am describing it to you (time is money)..Bux.to is actually a pay-per-view program, where you get paid cents to view an advertisement (liked it or not, all you have to do is just view the ad for full 30 seconds and earn a cent for the view).

Before I even continue, you will need an account with AlertPay in order to get paid from Bux.to.

Now, you have already created your Bux.to account and you click on the “Surf Ads” button. A list will be presented with ads that you can surf and get paid for. All you have to do is click in the link, and stay in the page for 30 seconds (pay attention in the countdown at the top, it should change to Done when you can close the window).

Can you get rich with Bux.to?

Well, first of all it depends what “RICH” means for you. $300 a month won’t make me rich for sure, but for a student thats a good money especially if doing nothing. I bet you got confused now, I was first referring that you earn 1 cent for surfing an ad and now referring to $300 a month earnings, hold on..let me explain.

People like me do it when they have time to waste, some others got into this much deeper and actually pull even more then $300 a month, but to understand better read bellow how the system actually works.

Earnings Example

You click 10 ads per day = $0.10

20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $2.00

Your daily earnings = $2.10

Your weekly earnings = $14.70

Your monthly earnings = $63.00

So practically you view 10 ads a day and earn $0.10 cents for the day. But if you have 20 referrals under your Bux.to and all 20 referrals do the same your daily earnings becomes $2.10 a day instead of $0.10 a day.

The sweetest part is that if having referrals under your account is hard with any other program with Bux.to it is not hard at all actually. You can actually buy those “non referred” users for a fairly cheap price. For example you can buy

15 referrals for $16.98

35 referraks for $34.95

100 referrals for $98.00

Why I am telling you fairly cheap price is because the ROI is good. Presume you buy the cheapest plan, 15 referrals for less then $17 and all 15 referrals do view 10 ads a day thats $1.50 USD a day (plus 0.10 a day from ads you will view), in 10 days you have already pulled back the money you invested and all the rest is pure earnings. If you purchase 35 referrals you get back your invested money in less then 10 days and so on you can create an empire of users until you reach a point that you earn enough money a day without doing anything but simply buying some referrals from time to time, sit in your back, view some ads when you are bored and cash in the money.

Are you convinced that time IS really money and that even cents can turn out to become real bucks quickly enough? Subscribe to Bux.to and build your money empire (and don’t forget to get a AlertPay account too).

If you really don’t give a try to all monetization methods you will really not know what you are missing. Just as in blogging, if you start to blog daily blogging for you will become natural and the posts will come out fluently without any hassle (unlike as the first days when you really had to struggle to come up with a decent post) this same thing applies to making money online.

Once you start making some money online you realize your real potential to make money online which then influences you to raise your daily target and explore more monetization methods. If you feel happy with the current money you are making then you are probably losing a lot of opportunities and maybe you wont ever realize the full potential of your blog as money maker.

My latest experiment on making money online was with AdBrite an advertising marketplace that offers you different type of advertisement, CPC (Cost Per Click) or CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions). With AdBrite you can chose 3 different methods to monetize your site

Place banner advertisements on your site

Place textual links on your site

Place In-Content Ads

Here at another night shift you will notice I am using only in-content ads as I want to check out how much I can actually monetize my content. The in-content ads are those double lined dark green keywords you will notice, that when you hover the mouse a an ad window will display.

So far I have tested AdBrite on another not so competitive niche and I have to admit that the PayPerClick is way much better then with Kontera, hence I am giving them a try even here on this blog to see how much it can really pull.

You can expect the results at the end of this month. You can subscribe to my RSS feed if you want to find out how well AdBrite performs in this site.

If you have so far monetized your site only from AdSense Contextual ads then you have most likely missed couple bucks a month as visitors would leave your site to perform another search from the search engines. With AdSense, other then monetizing your website through the contextual ads you have a plenty other possiblities, link units, referrals and of course, AdSense for Search.

With adsense for search you can give the possibility to visitors of your website or weblog to perform a search query on Google.com right from within your site or let them perform a search query for your site/blog through Google search engine by simply querying your site and the visitors performed keywords in the search.

Some of the possibilities were limited tho with AdSense search and you could not really have much of control over the search button, but today, the AdSense team has announced that adsense for search has been combined all together with the custom Google search and a bunch of new features have been added such as

Improved indexing of your pages

Vertical search

Tuning search results and ads with keywords

Selecting ad location

Quick and easy updates

These points are explained in details on the official adsense blog. This information is so hot that I took the time to first blog about it instead of go and modify my AdSense for search code and checkout how this will perform, but I am confident it will perform quiet well.

Don’t miss the opportunity to make few more bucks out of your site with Google AdSense, give a try to AdSense for search and don’t let the visitors go away from your site without making you any profits.

Just a few months ago who would actually care about having a personal look and feel of his or her own blog? When people would talk about web design mainly it was referred to the design of a website and not a blog.

Actually even many corporations would use one of those free wordpress themes for their companies blog with just some slight modifications…and just few months ago BOOM everyone was lurking for a personalized wordpress blog theme. Everyone wanted to stand out from the rest of the fellow bloggers with a unique design that would reflect to their personality.

I have been thinking now and then to get a new blog design for this make money online blog but I just feel really comfortable enough with the current layout I am using (yeah, it is a free wordpress theme so what?) that I don’t even find the hassle to sit down and open photoshop and design me a new layout.

It makes sense tho to hire a company for your website design even tho sometimes prices are just too high, especially if you think that return on investment won’t be that good. Speaking of this I ended up seeing the website designing page of Hosterio.com.

I have to admit I like their layout, actually I love simplicity, even tho they are a hosting company actually they also offer website design services too. The first thing that caught my eyes was their pleasant design, so Ok i thought, it is worth reading maybe I get convinced and hire them to do the work for my lazy self (some times it is harder to design for yourself if you are a designer, rather then designing for a customer).

The page looked nice, well written content and most important the price was really cheap, I quote from their own website

Our website design services starts from as low as USD249 only. With that package you will get a complete website of upto 10 pages with free domain name and web hosting

Intrigued me, it does intrigue you too right? So what should stop me for hiring them? Well there is one thing that stops me from hiring, actually it stops many, I presume, from hiring a website design firm to work on your personal website design if they don’t have a portfolio show case from where I could see the quality of their work (let me remind you, their site already looks nice..but one example is just not enough).

That was the first thing I did notice, the second, being a semantic code maniac, i checked the source code. I think I will better refrain my comments, after all very few are the sites that satisfy me from how the layout is structured and how the elements are being used, but I can’t stop myself repeating to everyone that tables are meant to be used for displaying tabular data, and not structuring the websites layout.

From that, I can tell that there are few things people should and do look at when they are thinking about hiring a website design firm or even a website designer as freelancer, let me name them

Companies Design

Read the whole sales letter, it will help you understand a lot about how serious they are.

Portfolio of previous work, this is a must and inspires/convinced people to hire you even more

Code structure. Using semantic correct markup? Is the code search engine friendly?

However, I hope the folks at Hosterio.com will read this blog post and will take their time to build a nice portfolio showcase.

As years are passing the online advertisement is becoming more and more interactive. Years ago as advertisement was used the textual links, then the static banners came out and then animated banners, then we were presented with the Google AdSense contextual ads, newest was WidgetBucks and their flash banners, but the latest and the most attractive (for me) one is the Amazon Associates Carousel Widget (you can see it in action at the bottom of this post).

Amazon Associates came out with Carousel Widget just few days ago. This widget is built in flash and is interactive, you can list at least 6 eBook or any other type of products that can be found on amazon within the widget, users can then rotate the books and click the one for which they show most interest. Currently I have listed 6 very interesting and useful books for those that want to learn more about blogging, seo and making money online, the listed book as

How to Do Everything With Your Web 2.0 Blog

ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way To a Six-Figures Income

Building Findable Websites: Web Standards SEO and Beyond

How to Make Money With Your Blog

SEO: Search Engine Optimization Bible

Blogging For Dummies

Professional Search Engine Optimization with PHP

Their new ads are simply lovely, clean and fast to load. It doesn’t slow down the loading time of your site/blog and yet they are attractive. I have not used Amazon affiliate program to make money online, but these attractive ads definitively intrigued me to get started with Amazon Associates and give it a try.

You should to.

The ways to make money online are endless and the only limit is your imagination since today you have just the embarrass of choosing with which company or with which way you want to monetize your website and make money online.

What is ShoppingAds?

I would define ShoppingAds as a bridge between your visitors and the merchant that is selling products. Publishers of ShoppingAds can make money online by installing their small javascript widget code and displaying relevant merchant ads on your website. The program pays on CPC (Cost Per Click) and on CPA (Cost Per Acquisition), and the publishers are divided in two categories. Standard publishers and Premium publishers. The division of these two groups is based on country location and on the traffic quality of your website. If you signup now and get accepted you will start as standard publisher, and if your traffic is quality traffic (read: US and Canada) you can email ShoppingAds (in case they forgot to upgrade your account) and request to revise your account and upgrade you to publisher account.

It wasn’t a coincidence that I asked are you exploring all monetization options for your website, some times what looks a yucky program for you it could be the right money maker for your site, but you will not know that until you give it a try. Same happened to me with ShoppingAds, at the beginning I was skeptic about the program and did not thought it was worth placing their ads.

The fact is that today I believe I never wasted my time thinking if their ads look good or not and I should have gave them a try long time ago. ShoppingAds</a It is revealing as a great money maker for me in a website where AdSense was not doing as well. The previous month the earnings were not bad at all, this month they are kinda slowing down but with ShoppingAds you can’t never say “this month is not doing good” until the month is over. While I was giving a test ride to ShoppingAds it was making cents and the day when I thought to remove them..boom $16+ the same day.

One thing is for sure with ShoppingAds, if your site is tech related, gadgets or product related site and you do have a healthy traffic you won’t fail making money.

The title pretty much says it all, but let me explain it further. When it regards to making money online from your website, blog or forum the first thing you need before starting to monetize you need the audience, this is actually my second time repeating this thing.

It could be hard for some, but there are endless ways to drive visitors to your websites, and if you are one of those but you are eager to have more visitors to your site, generate more sales and make more money online what you need is a search engine optimisation service company and thats exactly what the professionals at Data Dial are doing.

Digital Data is a web site design firm but thats not all what they do, as I mentioned above they also offer search engine optimisation services too and that is a great plus for a design company. You would be amazed to know how many website design companies do not know anything about SEO, and that is so wrong since the website design company is the one that builds your website and minimum knowledge about search engine optimization knowledge is required.

Internet Marketing To Increase Sales

If you already show interest about SEO you cannot miss internet marketing, they walk hand by hand all the way to your online success. Indeed it is impossible to have a company offering seo services and not internet marketing services as well, it would be simply…not serious. The guys at Datadial provide you with internet marketing services as well. Datadial provides you with internet marketing services, manages your Pay Per Click campaigns, analyzing your campaigns and driving targeted traffic to your site that will increase your online sales. In single words, you hire them and just sit watching the money flow from your PPC campaigns (and not only).

E-commerce Software That Will Guide Your Customers to Checkout

In Datadial Ltd’s ECommerce Software page I read something interesting and so true. The percentage of visitors that hit the back button on the last page of the purchase process is pretty high (roughly 60%). There are several reasons why this might happend

Lack of Call-To-Action checkout page

Visitors are being distracted from something else

The checkout button is not infront of your soon-to-be customers nose

DataDial Ltd is as I mentioned is a website design company based in UK with good background on website design, search engine optimisation and internet marketing. All three aspects you would want the company you hire to have knowledge at as all three are so closely connected one to each other and may lead to success (read money) or waste of time (read failure). Each ECommerce website is different from the other one, hence each type of visitors acts differently while browsing a website or while purchasing a product through your ecommerce software, having a company that has experience is this field and knows the type of visitors will certainly help you increase the online sales = make more money online, and from their portfolio you can easily say that DataDial Ltd knows what is up to.

It is unusual that I should write about how one should start blogging, but the truth is that search engines still deliver traffic with keyphrase search how do I start blogging. It is unusual I say because the number of blogs that get published online is in constant growth, but from another point of view it is something that is constantly growing which means that there are still people that are starting a blog for the first time (even tho data is not only for new blog owners, but for new blogs).

Considering these stats and the performance of the keyphrase search for how do I start blogging I find a sense in writing this simple tutorial on how to start your first blog and start blogging not depending on the fact if you want a self hosted blog or one of the free ones provided from several providers like wordpress.com, blogspot.com, typepad.com and many others. Lets start discovering things you need to know before starting a blog.

Identify your self and your blog

This is a simple rule which many lose to achieve because they are influenced from other factors, one of which is make money blogging. The fact is that blogs were not made for making money online, but blogs were found as a great way for monetizing your passion which later on passion vanished and all what remained is pure business and money online. If you want to start a blog purely for making money online then you will fail and I am telling you stop reading now this post because it is not for you. But if you have a passion which you are willing to start share world wide then welcome.

Now lets take the steps of these first rule, identify yourself and your blog. The first question you should ask your self is “Why do I want to start blogging” , this question should help you understand the topic you want to blog about, is it sports, fashion, hairstyle, glamour, cars, or anything you have enough knowledge with and would want to share your experience/knowledge with the others for one or another reason.

Once you have identified your blogs core identity and have defined the main topic of your blog it is time to expand slightly your blogs nature. By expanding I mean to identify other topics that somehow or closely related to your blog. Lets take as example your core topic is “fashion”, th expanding topics for fashion would be: man fashion, women fashion, shoes, skirt, dress, hairstyle, fashion news. Expanding your blog into several other topics which are closely related to your core topic will give you that freedom to write on several topics and still remain in your core topic and will permit you not to remain without a post to publish for your readers, in addition you will expand your readership for those interested in man fashion, women fashion, shoe lovers, hairstyle freaks or model gossip eager to know folks.

I would also suggest you free keyword tools to find more “content related” keywords based on which you can expand your blog. Just pick them carefully, here is an example for “fashion options“.

Picking Up Your Name

So far we have identified your and have learned how to expand your topics and reach a wider range of readers. What we need now is a name that will distinguish us from the rest of the “fashion blogs”.

Regardless if you chose to use a self-hosted blog (is it wordpress, drupal or even joomla) your second important issue will be to give your self a name, a name that will be remarkable and distinguish you from the rest of the crowd. Now a days that internet is being more and more used, new websites and blogs are being released, domain stalkers have already played their game finding the most appropriate domain name for your blog is not going to be easy.

Since your blogs core topic is going to be fashion it would be nice, but not necessary, that the word fashion is included in your domain name, for example, cathiesfashion.com myfashionblog.com, fashionblogging.com, fashiongossip.com etc etc, it all actually depends on how creative you want to be with your name, what you want your blog name to actually be and if that domain name is actually available. But as I said, having the word “fashion” within your domain name is not really necessary, you can even go with domain like: cathiesblog.com cathieblogging.com etc etc, but you will definitively want to re compensate this lack of keywords in your blogs title tag.

Why I am reminding you about keywords in domain is mainly for seo purpose, something that might sound Alienist to you at this moment but later on you will realize how important search engine optimization would become for your blog. You can already learn some more about wordpress seo since the early stages, but too much learning all at once it will certainly not do any good.

Installing Your Blog

The preferred blogging platform now a days is wordpress, so I will take wordpress as example. If you have already identified your blog, found your domain name and have already purchased your hosting space you are ready to install the blogging software.

If your hosting company uses cPanel it is very possible that they also use the Fantastico DeLuxe plugin. With Fantastico you get presented with several pre-installed softwares, one of which is wordpress, that can be installed within just a few clicks. After the install is done all you need is a theme for your blog, you can even search for “free wordpress themes” on google to find thousands of results.

Setting Up Your Blog

Your blog is already installed and its up running now with the default post and the default about page. There are few technical things you need to get them done properly before we proceed.

Your Blog Settings There are several blog settings you would want to setup, by clicking in the Options tab you will be presented with several sub options. The first option is the General options, where you have to setup the blog title and the blog description. Since the other options are already okey (but in either case you might want to check them) we can pass with this tutorial on the permalinks.

Setting your permalinks The permalinks are actually the URL your posts should have. By default the URL of your posts would look like ?p=ID , but wordpress has been build with seo in mind and have given you the option to modify your permalinks for better search engine performance. Once you are in your permalinks chose the Custom option and write down: /%postname%/. By using that small code for your permalink your posts will now look like your-blog-post-title/, the URL is now of real words which people can read, and even search engines love this too

Now that we have setup the technical settings we can proceed to create categories for your blog (remember, expanding your blog to several sub topics). Go on Manage > Categories and a table will be presented from where you can add/modify/delete categories. Categories are like a organizer, and you can mark each of your post to which category it belongs (you can even mark a post to 2 or more categories if it suits). What is required in the table to add a category is the category name, the category slug (which would be the URL for the category, example your category name is: fashion models, then it would be nice to have categories slug as: fashion-models) and the description for the category. The description should be not longer then 160 characters and should be well written to intrigue visitors reading to visit that category.

Categories are already been settled up. With WordPress aside the posts which would be market under categories you can as well create pages for your blog. These pages can be used to talk about your self, a contact page or anything you actually want.

Now you are ready to start blogging. To write your posts you need to click on Write and chose Write Post (and NOT write page unless thats what you want to do). Now that you have clicked to the write button you get presented with a table and two inputs where you can write. One is the title where the title of the post should be written, the second is the body where the posts content should be written. Once you are done writing your first post, on your right side of the screen you will notice some blue tabs with a + sign on their right end, click on the tab name categories and it should open a list of categories that you have created, select the proper category for which your post classifies and then hit the publish button.

Thats it, now you don’t need anymore to ask how do I start blogging, at least not the technical side. For similar tutorials on how to continue effective blogging you can subscribe to my RSS feed

This post raises from a past experience, when I acquired a rave website for a cheap price from its previous owner.

The reason for acquiring this site was mainly its small but useful for me at the moment daily earnings the site was pulling from Google AdSense. The second reason was the traffic the site has from different resources, including search engine traffic.

Acquiring a website with decent traffic is good for several reasons 1). you don’t have to build that traffic, its time saving 2). gives you the flexibility to test/try different monetization methods.

After the acquisition of the site and replacing of the Google AdSense code the earnings were $0 and $0 and $0 for a week or so even tho there were several clicks on the ads but for some reason for Google AdSense those clicks were counted as invalid and were not paying the publisher (me). My first thought after a week was to sell the site away and get rid of it.

Did I sold the site? Nope and the reasons are several, even tho I acquired the site because of the adsense earnings the traffic was big enough and the quality of the traffic was good, it has 99% of UK traffic. What I did was trying another way to make money out of that site so I tried couple affiliate networks that were related to rave music, dj equipment and similar stuff, but they were all just paying low commissions and I had to subscribe to different programs which was not in my intentions.

Again the thought of selling this site crossed my mind, but once again an alternative halted me from doing this. I knew I have been subscribed with a affiliate type of program which pays on commissions and on pay per click but I had never gave it a try really, because I was lazy. I decided this was the perfect timing to give a try to ShoppingAds.

After placing the ShoppingAds the idea of selling the site vanished out of my mind and the site is now pulling a decent revenue. If you want to know more about ShoppingAds subscribe to my RSS feed to read the following post on ShoppingAds on more details.

Well if you think that there are only dumb blondes…then man you have never met a Bulgarian woman. This woman is the living proof of what ignorance means and fearing to appear as such. The video you will see bellow could serve as lesson to you just as it served as lesson to me, information is gold, and if this “chick” (sorry, could not find the appropriate word for this human creature) could have saved her self from appearing as what she does if she would have get informed.

This same identical rules applies on internet marketing, making money online, search engine optimization or anything related to websites and ways of making money online. Information is gold, by just reading and exploring the given resources you could save your self from situations similar to this one.

Well take this video as a joke or a lesson, in either case enjoy this Bulgarian thing singing Mariah Carey’s “Ken Lee” (Without you), but please make sure you see the video till the end to see the final reaction.
