Making Money With Affiliates

Everyone that starts to monetize his or her own blog will most probably use PPC programs, such AdSense, mainly because with Pay Per Click ads seems easier to make money. But what I would think about that is that with PPC ads is easier to make pennies and not real money. Getting few cents (and when you are lucky receiving even a dollar per click) is a long way to make a living online. Even tho PPC is not the way to make money online and quit your day job, it is a good start to bring some revenue which you can than invest to raise your website traffic and be able to generate more money.

If cents per click is not how you do see your way to make money from your website or blog, than it is time to concentrate on making real money from affiliates. Web sites that sell products or offer services online most probably have affiliate program since affiliate marketing is a great way to create buzz and get free promotion from other folks that have intention to make some bucks online. If you are good at affiliate marketing and know how to sell products this can become a real money making machine for you. Most money makers make the real bucks from affiliates rather than from PPC.

Just few points why making money online is better with affiliate links. Days ago I received an email from a web hosting company promoting their affiliate program, I was curious about it so I went to their site and saw how much they pay per referral and what are the rules to join their affiliate program. The hosting company I am talking about is WebDomain.

WebDomain’s affiliate program gives you a bonus of 15 euro (almost $22 dollars) just to sign up with their affiliate program. As payout level 1 you get paid 50 euro ($73 USD) for each sign up a referred user by you will make, than as level 2 you get paid 65 euro ($95 usd) and finally as level 3 you get paid the pretty amount of 80 euro ($117 USD) per each referral you send and signs up with their services.

Considering the numbers I above mentioned, how many clicks do you need on a PPC ad to generate that revenue? This is one reason why I like affiliates more to make money online instead of pay per click advertisements.

Another example, Text Link Ads a textual advertisement company that pays the beauty of $25 USD per each referral that signs up with them through your affiliate link and makes a purchase (even if thats just a $15 purchase). Now lets do some math, Bob has a website and uses PPC ads to monetize his website. Bob receives 50 clicks on the PPC published ads block, if Bob is lucky he will receive $0.50 per click which will bring him a total of $25 for those 50 clicks. There is also Heather that has a website too, but Heather uses affiliates to monetize her website, she also receives 50 clicks on the affiliate link she has used for Text Link Ads, from Heathers affiliate link only 2 people register and make a purchase (which is at a conversion rate 1%). For the two registered users Heather has made $50 for this month, if the same users will renew their ads she will receive another $50 the next month.

Now I am asking you, do you think Big money or cents?
